What's New: Week of 3 August 2026

This week brings more of the evidence you manage into the records where your team expects to find it. Company and personnel credentials gain new structure, asset setup starts from a shared catalogue, and form requests become easier to send outside your organisation.

Keep company and personnel evidence together

Company records held contacts and contracts, but teams kept accreditations, insurance, supplier approvals, and finance details elsewhere. Personnel credentials such as asbestos awareness, emergency first aid at work, and working at height used separate record types.

Under Contacts → Companies, you can add company accreditations, attestations, insurance, approved-supplier status, tax registrations, and payment details. Renewal keeps the earlier evidence on record, while expiry reporting picks up dates that need attention. Supplier approval can pass from a parent site to its child sites, with a local override where the child needs a different decision. CalmCompliance protects payment details behind the existing audited reveal step.

Personnel accreditations follow the same catalogue-led pattern. You can add more than one scheme to a person, attach evidence, record a correction, and renew the accreditation without losing its history. Superseded qualifications show their own status, so your team can distinguish them from expired evidence.

Build your asset register from a shared catalogue

Setting up asset classes by hand made it hard to keep names consistent across sites. Your team had to know which classes existed before choosing what belonged in a new register.

The Asset Classes catalogue under Premises → Assets gives you a searchable hierarchy of Calm-managed classes. Search recognises familiar alternatives, so a search for “emergency light” can find Emergency Luminaires. Turn the classes you need on for the site, switch unused classes off without deleting their records, and request a missing class from the same page. CalmCompliance warns you before a change affects active schedules and blocks changes that would leave assets without a class.

Asset capture has a clearer workspace across phone, tablet, and desktop too. Larger previews, stable controls, room navigation, torch support, and photo removal help you review each capture before you submit it. During onboarding, page guidance and class suggestions help your team move from locations to a usable asset register with fewer detours.

Email a form request from CalmCompliance

Sending a form request to a contractor or another external contact meant copying the link, opening your email, and rebuilding the context there. You then had no record beside the request showing where you had sent it.

Pending requests under Forms → Requests have an Email Link action beside Copy Link. Enter the recipient’s email address and an optional name, then send the request without leaving CalmCompliance. The email includes the form name, your instructions, and a Complete Form button. CalmCompliance records the send in the audit log and prevents you from sending completed or cancelled requests by mistake.

Form template previews are clearer before you ask anyone to complete one. Preview mode labels test submissions, blocks file and image uploads, and confirms that it has stored no response.
