Cooperate with your employer, fellow members of staff, contractors and others to enable them to make and keep the workplace safe.
Raise health and safety concerns in line with local arrangements.
Procedure
1. Identify the concern
If you identify a health and safety concern connected with your work or with people who may be affected by it, take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others while raising the concern.
2. Use the local reporting route
Raise the concern through the school's applicable local arrangement: [local health safety concern route].
Where the concern involves an employer, contractor or other person whose work may affect safety, use the applicable employer, trust, local-authority, line-management or contractor arrangement.
3. Cooperate with the response
Cooperate with your employer, fellow members of staff, contractors and others involved in making and keeping the workplace safe.
4. Receive and consider the response
The response to the concern should be provided through the applicable local arrangement: [local concern response arrangement].
5. Escalate an unresolved concern
If the concern remains unresolved, escalate it through the next applicable employer, trust, local-authority or line-management arrangement: [local health safety escalation route].
Local arrangements
The school should identify the applicable route, response arrangement and escalation route before this procedure is used: [school local arrangements reference].
