What's New: Week of 24 August 2026

People & Training is the focus this week: build the course, give learners a clear path through it, and see completion without chasing spreadsheets.

Build Courses in the Platform

Off-the-shelf LMS content rarely matches your policies, your sites, or the risks your team actually faces. Many teams still pair a separate course tool with personnel records held somewhere else.

You can author courses directly in CalmCompliance under Training. Combine written steps, embedded video, and links to the policies and documents people must read, so one course pulls the material together in order. Add quizzes with pass criteria when you need evidence that training landed, not just that someone opened a page. Courses stay tied to the people layer, so completion updates the record auditors ask for.

A Clear Path for Learners

Learners used to hunt for links in email or work through content that did not connect back to their personnel record.

Each person gets a My Courses view. They step through the course in order: watch a video, read a linked policy, complete a self-declared task, then pass the quiz where one is required. Completion is gated on the quiz when you set it that way, so a finished course means they understood the material. Learning sits beside the rest of their record, with nothing extra to install.

See Who Has Completed What

Chasing completion by email or spreadsheet breaks down as soon as you cover more than one site or one course.

Training insights show completion and due status across your people. You can see who has finished a course, what is outstanding, and where competence is lapsing before it becomes a gap on site. The view supports the routine check before an audit or a shift change, without exporting lists to reconcile by hand.
