What's New: Week of 10 August 2026

Requirements get a proper home this week, incident reports can name who was involved, and forms can collect accreditations onto the live record.

Set What Companies and People Must Hold

Insurance, accreditations, and supplier approvals sit on the company or person. The rule itself lived in a spreadsheet or someone's head. You knew a contractor needed Public Liability. You had to search record by record for who was missing it.

ContactsRequirements is the home for those rules. Library holds templates such as Public Liability, Employers' Liability, and an SSIP contractor baseline. Our Requirements is the list you run. Publish a requirement, review who it covers, then activate it so the check runs against those companies or people.

Each requirement names the population and the evidence you expect. Adopt a library template or write your own. ContactsInsights now has Company and Personnel Compliance Issues widgets: missing, expired, and due soon, with a path into the record that needs the update.

You can point a standard at a Personnel requirement as evidence. The standards library also adds SMAS Worksafe (SSIP) and SafeContractor (SSIP) readiness packs, structured from the published SSIP Core Criteria. The packs set those criteria against the evidence you keep. They do not issue SMAS, SafeContractor, or SSIP certification.

Name Who Was Involved When You Report

An incident report captured the event. Names arrived in comments or a follow-up, and the person record had no view of the incidents they were named on.

The report form now includes People Involved. Add colleagues from the site or enter an external name, with a role and notes. The report saves those people on the incident. Under SettingsIncidents, choose whether reporters can search all site members, selected groups, or external people.

On the incident you can archive a name added in error and restore it. On the person, Incident History lists the incidents they are linked to, newest first, with role, status, and the ticket reference.

Collect Accreditations on a Form, then Add Them to the Record

Insurance certificates and competence cards arrived as email attachments or photos. Someone retyped them onto the record.

Form authors can add personnel accreditation fields, plus company accreditation, attestation, insurance, and address. Limit a field to one type or a short list of types, and collect one entry or several. The respondent supplies new details and evidence. They do not see your existing records.

A reviewer sees one card per entry and chooses whether to add or update the matching person or company. Apply one entry and the others stay as submitted. If you send the request from a personnel record, review suggests that person.
