Purpose and scope
The school should have plans in place to enable it to manage and respond to incidents related to school security. This plan provides a single framework for school-security and health-and-safety incidents, including serious injury, significant property damage, criminal activity, severe weather, public-health incidents and the effects of a disaster in the local community.
The plan should be read with the school's other relevant plans and procedures. The school may include procedures for controlling access to, and barring individuals from, school premises within this plan or may address those matters in another plan or procedure.
