School Vehicle First-Aid Box Checklist

Use this checklist only for a minibus or larger passenger vehicle covered by the cited vehicle requirements. If the vehicle is not covered, stop this checklist.

Enter the vehicle registration, fleet number or other identifier used by the school.

Verify that the first-aid box is clearly marked.

Verify that the first-aid box is readily available in the vehicle.

Verify that the first-aid box is in good condition.

Verify that the box contains 10 foil-packed antiseptic wipes.

Verify that the box contains 1 conforming disposable bandage not less than 7.5 cm wide.

Verify that the box contains 2 triangular bandages.

Verify that the box contains 1 packet of 24 assorted adhesive dressings.

Verify that the box contains 3 large sterile unmedicated ambulance dressings, each not less than 15.0 cm × 20.0 cm.

Verify that the box contains 2 sterile eye pads with attachments.

Verify that the box contains 12 assorted safety pins.

Verify that the box contains 1 pair of rustless blunt-ended scissors.

Record any missing, damaged, unsuitable or inaccessible item or any issue with marking, availability or box condition.
