First-Aid Provision Review Arrangement

This arrangement applies to maintained and academy primary and secondary schools in England when a major change affects staff, premises or another relevant arrangement relating to first-aid provision.

When a review is required

After any major change, the school should review its first-aid needs and provision to make sure that the arrangements remain appropriate.

Scope of the review

The review should reconsider the first-aid needs assessment or policy, equipment, facilities and personnel, and identify any updates needed to keep provision appropriate after the change.

Application

This arrangement should be considered whenever there is a major change to staff or premises, or another major change affecting first-aid arrangements.
