Asset assignment: track who holds what, and the full history

Assets can now be assigned to a person directly from the asset instance page. The assignment block stores the current assignee with a start date and optional notes. When you reassign or return an asset, CalmCompliance archives the previous segment into a visible history.

That gives you a complete chain of custody over time: who holds something now, who had it before, and when each assignment started and ended. Reassigning, unassigning, and editing historical entries are supported, with validation to prevent overlapping date ranges. Each action is also written to the audit log.

The assets grid has an optional Assigned To column, which you can enable from the columns dialog under the cog, and a matching filter chip for finding assets by assignee or by unassigned status.

Person detail pages now include an Assigned Assets card listing every asset currently assigned to that person, including the asset name, location, and assignment start date. Both the grid column and the person card respect your existing people-viewing permissions, and the person card refreshes when assignments change.

Record access views for sensitive personnel blocks

Sensitive personnel blocks now default to record access mode. This applies to DBS certificates, employment details, financial details, personal details, right to work, and emergency contacts.

Instead of showing their content immediately, these blocks show a locked state with a View Information button. When someone clicks it, CalmCompliance records an audit event, so you have a log of who accessed what and when.

Each block's record access setting is configurable from its create or edit form. You can turn it off for lower-sensitivity data, or enable it on any block type where you want the extra accountability. Non-sensitive block types default to off.

Location access blocks

Premises locations now support an Access Instructions block: a rich text area for documenting how to access a space, entry codes, key holder information, or anything else a field team needs before they arrive.

The block can be shown on the location's public QR scan page. You can also require sign-in and record a view event when someone accesses the instructions, which is useful for sensitive access information.

Condition survey data on locations and assets

Condition survey data has been added to both location and asset detail pages. A new card shows the most recent survey findings for that record: the overall grade, priority findings, and an expandable table of individual survey rows.
